This year's Amar Ekushey Boi Mela will see 662 stalls, allotted from Bangla Academy, an increase by 133 stalls from previous year.
Meanwhile, 24 new publishing houses have been given stalls for this year's fair.
The number of allocated pavilions for this year is 23, of which 11 are allotted to the old publishing houses and 12 for new ones.
The list of allotted stalls was published on Bangla Academy's notice board on Monday.
Director of Bangla Academy and member of Ekushey Book Fair Committee Jalal Ahmed said application forms will be given to publishing houses on Monday. The rent for the stalls and application forms will be received in the concerned departments.
“After all applications have been received, the stalls for Bangla Academy premises and Suhrawardy Udyan will be allocated through a lottery,” he added.
He also said no hawkers, like in the previous years, will be allowed to take over the footpaths from Doel Chattar to TSC. Also, the roads will be open for traffic.
