Police on Friday recovered the body of a young woman from Haider Digital Dental Clinic in Middle Badda area of Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Liza Akhter,21, a receptionist at the clinic, said Officer-in-Charge Kazi Wazed Ali of Badda police station.
The body bore several injury marks in the back and other parts, he added.
The deceased’s husband Md Arafat said he last spoke to Liza on Friday morning.
“I heard of my wife’s death around 2pm on Friday,” he said.
An investigation team of police visited the spot from where the body was recovered.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
