Three-day-long PIB workshop on investigative journalism concludes

A total 37 young journalists from the DU campus took part in the training program

A three-day workshop on investigative journalism for working journalists on the Dhaka University (DU) campus ended on Thursday. 

The Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) organized the six-hour-a-day workshop from Tuesday to Thursday, at the PIB seminar room in Dhaka. A total 37 young journalists from the DU campus took part in the training program, which was initiated by the Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA).   

After the completion of the training program, a certificate giving ceremony was organized at the seminar room, with PIB Director General Md Shah Alamgir in chair. Information Department Chief Information Officer Begum Kamrunnahar and former National Press Club general secretary Swapan Shaha were present on the occasion.

Speakers at the ceremony instructed journalists to practice journalism with honesty, objectivity and accuracy.

PIB trainer Shah Alam Saikat, DUJA President Asif Taasin and General Secretary Mahmudul Hasan Nayon were present at the workshop.
