Sheltech architect missing for three days

An architect of Dhaka-based real estate company Sheltech has gone missing on his way to his office in the city’s Panthapath area.

Md BMM Mahfuj Nobin, 37, has been traceless since Sunday after he left his home in Dhamalkot area under Bhashantek police station for his office.

Bhashantek police station OC Sabbir Ahmed said Nobin’s family lodged a general dairy in this regard at the station on Monday.

Quoting Nobin’s family members and colleagues, Sabbir said: “Nobin left for office on Sunday morning after an altercation with his wife, but he apparently did not go there. However, he withdrew Tk20,000 from his bank account from an ATM booth.”

“Although his last location was Darussalam area, we are yet to find out where the ATM booth is from where he withdrew money.”

Family members also told police that Nobin had no enemies or affiliation to any political parties to their knowledge, the OC added.

OC Sabbir said they suspect that Nobin might be staying off the radar due to family-related problems. “However, we are investigating.”

Nobin’s family members were unavailable for comments.
