A man, injured in Saturday’s fire at Uttarkhan, has died after battling for his life for five days, taking the death toll from the incident to five.
Dablur, 33, died around 9am, said Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp, reports UNB.
The fire had broken out at the ground-floor flat of a two-storey building following a leakage in the gas pipeline, leaving eight severely injured.
Police identified the victims as Azizul, 27, Dabliu, 33, Anju, 33, Abdullah, 5, Urni, 16, Purnima, 30, Afroza, 60, and Sagor, 12.
Most of them were garment workers and one of them was a rickshaw puller.
