The Education Ministry has also ordered the school's governing body to suspend the trio
The government has suspended the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) benefits of three teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, including its acting principal Nazneen Ferdous, over the reported suicide of a ninth grader and subsequent protests.
“These teachers' MPO status has been cancelled,” Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told reporters in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Under the MPO scheme, the government pays the basic salaries of teachers and employees of listed educational institutions following recommendations by MPs.

Nahid said the Education Ministry had also ordered the governing body of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College to suspend the three teachers.
The body of the 15-year-old girl was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room, with the door locked from inside, at her Shantinagar home on Monday.
Her family claimed she took her own life after the school’s teachers, including the principal, insulted her and her parents after she was reportedly caught cheated during an exam on Sunday.
