No casualties have been reported
A fire has ravaged through several shops in the Police Plaza Concord Shopping mall in Dhaka's Gulshan area.
The fire had started at the level five food court of the shopping mall around 8:30pm on Friday, Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Duty Officer Ataur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.
He said that six fire-fighting units had rushed to the scene and doused the flames 20 minutes later.
But massive amounts of smoke were still inside the building, he added.
No casualties have been reported so far.
The fire-fighters are yet to ascertain the origin of the fire and the extent of damage.
Witnesses said the fire had created mass panic among the people who were inside the mall at the time.
Police were guarding the scene at the moment to avoid further unwanted situation.
