BNP leader ‘picked up’ from Mohakhali

BNP National Executive Committee’s Assistant Organizing Secretary Shohidul Islam Babul has reportedly been picked up by members of law enforcement from Dhaka’s Mohakhali area.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's press wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Monday.

Shairul claimed that law enforcement picked up Babul from Mohakhali in the afternoon.

When contacted, Detective Branch (DB) of Police Joint Commissioner Mahabul Alam told the Dhaka Tribune that he is not aware of any such arrest.

Banani police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Forman Ali also denied the arrest.
