4 Rohingyas held at Dhaka airport

They were all carrying Bangladeshi passports

Four Rohingyas have been held by Airport Armed Police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The incident occurred around 11am on Sunday, said Md Alamgir Hossain, additional superintendent (operations and media) of Airport Armed Police.

The detainees have been identified as Amina Begum, 26, Anwar, 30, Rokeya, 19, and Morijan, 23. They were held from the airport's exit terminal.

They said they were all from Maungdaw town in Rakhine State, Myanmar, the Airport Armed Police said.

They were all carrying Bangladeshi passports. Police said legal action will be taken against them.

Amina Begum had come to the airport to take a flight to Indonesia. She was booked for the MH 103 flight scheduled to leave in the afternoon.
