A fire broke out at a madrasa at Jatrabari in Dhaka around Wednesday midnight.
Nine firefighting units, however, brought the flames under control around 1:32am Thursday, Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Mahfuz Riben told Bangla Tribune.
No casualties were reported, he said.
Jatrabari police station’s Sub-Inspector Kabir said the fire had broken out at an electronics shop on the ground floor of the six-storey madrasa building in Kajla Kutubkhali area.
He said the madrasa students were safely evacuated after the fire started.
