One held with 2,500 yaba pills at Dhaka airport

Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) has detained a man with 2,500 pieces of yaba pills in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Shahidul Islam was arrested from outside of the domestic terminal on Thursday morning.

Confirming the matter, APBn's Additional Sub-Inspector Alamgir Hossain said: "Shahidul was suspiciously roaming around in the domestic terminal. 

“We questioned him and found the yaba tablets after searching him."

Alamgir also said Shahidul is a resident of Cox's Bazar and received the yaba pills from a man named Babul. 

The detainee recently got involved with yaba trade, he said adding that legal action will be taken regarding the matter.
