Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance train tickets for upcoming Eid-ul-Azha from five different points in Dhaka.
Authorities started the sale of tickets for August 7 from nine different counters, including one female counter, at the Kamalapur Railway Station around 9am on Monday.
Each passenger can buy a maximum of four tickets.

Holiday makers will also be able get their desired intercity train tickets in rail stations at Kamalapur, Airport, Tejgaon, Banani and old Rail Bhaban in Fulbaria.
Of all the tickets available, a total of 50% of the tickets will be sold online through the Bangladesh Railway app, SMS, and railway website.
Train tickets for August 8, 9, 10, and 11 would be sold on July 30, 31, August 1 and 2 respectively, railway officials said.
Confirming the matter, Kamalapur Railway Station Station Manager Aminul Haque said: "We started selling tickets around 9am.
"We are providing tickets for 14 westbound intercity trains from Kamalapur Railway Station."

Mymensingh and Jamalpur-bound holidaymakers can collect tickets from Tejgaon Railway Station, while tickets for the Netrakona-bound Mohonganj and Haor Express will be sold from Banani Railway Station. Holidaymakers travelling to Sylhet and Kishoreganj have to collect their tickets from Old Rail Bhaban in the Fulbaria area.
Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, is set to be celebrated on August 12, subject to the appearance of the moon.
Since last Eid-ul-Fitr, advance train tickets are sold at different locations of Dhaka for the first time in order to ease the ticket buying process and prevent agonizingly long queues of ticket seekers.
To ease the suffering of passengers, eight pairs of special trains will run on different routes on the occasion of Eid.
