A three and half months old baby boy has been killed in a road accident at Dholaipar in Dhaka.
The victim was identified only as Abu Bakar. Other details were yet to be known immediately.
Shyampur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman said a vehicle hit a rickshaw in front of Delta Hospital between 5:30am and 6am on Saturday.
The rickshaw was carrying Abu Bakar, and his mother along with his grandfather and grandmother, he said.
All of them fell from the rickshaw following the impact of collision.
Critically injured Abu Bakar was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the on-duty physician declared him dead, the OC said.
The family of the victim came to Dhaka from Pirojpur to visit a relative's house at Kadamtali, the police official said.
They were returning to Pirojpur on the day, he said.
"We are trying to identify the vehicle," he added.
