Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that the physicians are trying to provide the best possible treatment to the injured BIWTC official
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury has said the people responsible for the road accident in which BIWTC official Krishna Roy lost her one leg will be brought to justice.
The state minister made the statement while talking to the reporters after visiting Krishna Roy, who is currently undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopeadic Rehabilitation in Dhaka, said a press release issue by the ministry on Saturday.
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that the physicians are trying to provide the best possible treatment to the injured BIWTC official.
“We cannot bring her (Krishna) leg back, but we will continue our efforts to help her get recovery,” Khalid said.
He also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Shipping Ministry are presently well-informed of Krishna’s treatment, while the law enforcing agencies will take the necessary measures required to hold the culprits accountable for Krishna's tragic injury.
On August 27 last, assistant manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Krishna Roy (55) lost her leg as a bus ran her over in Dhaka’s Banglamotor area.
