They announced their 10-point charter to help admission seekers
The Dhaka University (DU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League has made arrangements to welcome the university’s honors 2019-20 academic session admission seekers.
The DU chapter President Sonjit Chandra Das and General Secretary Md Saddam Hussain announced their 10-point charter at a press conference in Madhur Canteen on Thursday.
The 10 services to help admission seekers includes -- installation of information desk, citizen charter and volunteers for navigation help, arrangements of drinking water, distribution of stationeries, storage of candidates’ belongings outside examination hall, sitting arrangement for guardians and hotline service.
Saddam asked DU administration to conduct a fair and transparent admission tests, commencing from Friday, and said: “We request all to be alert, so that no one can try to indulge in any forgery during the admission tests.
"We request students and guardians not to choose any unfair means."
Sonjit said: “We will cooperate with authorities to take legal actions against those who act dishonest or conduct fraudulence in the tests.”
Chhatra League DU chapter assured they will provide wheelchairs and necessary logistics for the differently-abled admission candidates and announced accommodations for candidates on the night before the examination.
The free of charge bike ride sharing service, Joy Bangla, will continue as the previous year.
Several other DU unit leaders and activists were present at the press conference.
