A youth has been hacked to death at his home in Dhaka’s Wari area.
“Police recovered the body of Md Arif Hossain, 23, around 12pm on Wednesday and sent it to Dhaka Medical College for autopsy,” Wari police station Sub-Inspector Md Harun ur Rashid told Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “There were four marks of sharp weapon on his body. Element of struggling were also found inside the room.
“Primarily, we think unknown miscreants have killed him due to some kind of unknown conflict.”
“Further can be said after the investigation is done,” SI Harun added.
Arif worked at the house owner’s (the house where he lived) shop at Narinda from 10 years, the SI said.
The deceased’s cousin Ali Hossain said: “Arif used to live there alone. His wife, two children and his younger brother live with us at Narayanganj. He used to visit us once every week.”
