Rajuk fines Shakib Tk10 lakh

The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) has fined Dhallywood star Shakib Khan Tk10 lakh for illegally constructing a section at his under-construction residential building in Dhaka’s Niketon.

A mobile court, led by Rajuk Executive Magistrate Ashraful Islam, fined the actor on Monday.

Confirming the matter, Rajuk Communication Officer Atiqur Rahman said: “The drive is a part of our regular monitoring.”

He said: “The actor will not have to pay the fine, if he demolishes the illegal portion of the building within a month.

“If Shakib fails to do so, he will either have to pay the fine or serve one year in jail.”
