Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said the government has targeted to create 15 million jobs for the youths.

“The government is working to create employment opportunity for the youths, which is the main target of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

“Some 15 million employment target has been fixed to this end,” said Quader.

He was addressing a press conference on the development activities of Road Transport and Bridges Ministry at the ministry’s conference room in Dhaka on Wednesday, reports BSS.

About the remarks of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir "Nation is upset due to Prime Minister’s speech", Quader said: “BNP is getting burnt with anger because Sheikh Hasina came up with some true comments about BNP in her address before the nation on Tuesday. The premier told the truth as she has that kind of courage.”

Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said legal actions were taken against the criminals whenever the crimes took place at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Talking about corruption, Quader said Prime Minister mentioned about the purge drive against corruption.

With the pledge made before the nation, the drive against corruption was started to eliminate corruption from the country and none (how much influential he or she is) would be spared, he added.
