Oracle celebrates 20yr in Bangladesh

A new office of the company has been opened to mark the celebration

Oracle has celebrated 20 years of serving public and private-sector firms in Bangladesh.

To celebrate the two decades mark, the company also opened a new office in the country, a press release said on Thursday. 

Company has experienced growing customer demand during its two decades in the country; Opens new office in Dhaka; Reaffirms its commitment to helping Bangladesh become a digital nation   

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal attended the celebration as chief guest while State for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, US Ambassador Earl R Miller were guest of honour.

“Bangladesh has leap-frogged economic growth with 8.15 percent GDP growth last fiscal year – the highest in Asia Pacific. I appreciate the initiative taken by Oracle while working with organizations across the country to help them transform, harness the growth we are seeing and serve their customers in new, innovative ways,” the finance minister said in his speech.

In Bangladesh, Oracle has been experiencing strong demand for its cloud solutions from many organisations including Ananta Group, Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Bridge Authority, Bangladesh Computer Council, Bangladesh Election Commission, bKash, BRAC Bank, DBL Group, Department of Immigration and Passport, Dulal Brothers, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, National Board of Revenue, National Polymer, Partex Star Group, Union Group, Pacific Jeans to name a few. Bangladeshi firms are leveraging Oracle Cloud to fulfill a variety of business requirements including to manage and retain talent, deliver better customer experiences, launch new services faster, or reduce costs.
