ULAB screens ‘Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale’ on campus

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has screened Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale, a docu-drama on the life of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as part of celebrating Mujib Year, the birth centenary celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The film was screened at the auditorium of the university’s campus in Dhanmondi on Monday, said a press release.

Bangabandhu’s grandson Radwan Mujib Siddiq and the film’s director Piplu Khan took part in a discussion after screening the film.

In the film, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina represents herself in the title role and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana as herself.

ULAB Board of Trustees Vice President Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed, ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor H M Jahirul Haque, ULAB Pro Vice- Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza, National Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam; ULAB Board of Trustees members Ameenah Ahmed and Kazi Inam Ahmed, ULAB Registrar Lt Col (Retd) Foyzul Islam, ULAB Board of Trustees Special Advisor Professor Imran Rahman, teachers, students, and guests were present at the event.

The film was jointly produced by the Centre for Research and Information and Applebox Films.
