IUB Korean Festival kicks off in style

The event is open for all the event commenced on March 4 and ends on March 5

The Korean Club of Independent University, Bangladesh is having their flagship event, the Korean Festival 2020.

The event commenced on March 4 and ends on March 5.

In collaboration with the Department of Media & Communicationas well as various other clubs within IUB, the club is holding the two-day festival.

The inauguration took place on Thursday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremonyand vibrant performances by the members of Dance Club of IUB.

The session was attended by Prof. Milan Pagon, Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of IUB, Dr. Imtiaz Hussain, Dean (Acting), School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Prof. Zakir Hossain Raju, Head, Department of Media and Communication and advisor of IUB K-Club, Ms. Raiyana Rahman, Faculty Coordinator IUB  K-Club, and other faculty members and students of IUB.

The opening ceremony was followed by a K-Pop music and dance competition, with competitors participating from within and outside the university.

The university campus has been colorfully decorated for the event. Stalls selling Korean food, skin care products, merchandize and many more products representing Korean culture are available.

On March 5 there will be a seminar and language workshop conducted by renowned YouTube VloggerMr. Joseph Kim aka “Korean Bhai”, which will be followed by a screening of the third most grossing Korean film, Exit (2019). The festival will end with a prize giving ceremony.

The event is open for all.
