Educational institutions have been also directed to suspend cultural, sports and other activities
The government has ordered all schools and colleges across the country to hold daily assembly inside classrooms to prevent spread of coronavirus.
Amid growing fears over the novel coronavirus in the country, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.
Educational institutions were also directed to suspend cultural, sports and other activities until further notice, according to the press release.
It came after the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the first three cases of the coronavirus infection in Bangladesh on Sunday. But two of them were diagnosed negative as tests were conducted on them for the second time on Tuesday.
Educational institutions, however, will remain open as the current situation in the country does not warrant their closure, according to government officials.
