Police have recovered the body of a man from inside a flat at Eskaton, Dhaka.
Russell Chowdhury Liton, was found dead inside the flat on Tuesday.
His body was recovered from the sixth floor of Fantasy building.
The deceased was a former ship captain of a private ship company.
Ramna policed station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam confirmed the matter.
Russell was living alone at his brother-in-law’s flat for the last one and a half year, the OC said.
“He was last seen outside of the building on Sunday. He might have died sometime before Tuesday, ” Monirul said, adding that “the body had a rotten smell.”
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) for an autopsy.
“After listening to his family’s stance, it seems that he died of natural causes,” the OC added.
