Two mobile phones, a knife, written instructions on militant activities, and some documents containing an action plan were recovered from their possession, the police official added.
CTTC sources said the arrested two are members of the so-called sleeper cell FZ Force of New JMB. Their primary objective was to kill influential politicians and wealthy atheists.
They communicated with each other through social media and other online networking apps, and planned to recruit members and carry out disruptive activities to strengthen the organization, the sources added.
On July 4, Saffat and Yasir left their homes to receive military training, and gather members for their organization, according to dmpnews, the online portal of DMP.
A case was filed with Kotwali police station against the two. They were later sent to court on Tuesday.
