Md Mamun, one of the 37 victims of the horrific mosque blast in Narayanganj on Friday, has been discharged from hospital.
The 30-year-old RMG worker, who was standing outside Fatullah’s Baitus Salat Jame Mosque on the fateful day, has left the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Rubi Begum, wife of Mamun, informed Dhaka Tribune of the development on Monday.
“My husband was taken for a dressing of his wounds on Monday afternoon. The doctors then told us that we can go back home,” she said.
Meanwhile, talking to the press, Dr Partha Shankar Pal, resident physician at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said: “27 of the 37 victims of the tragic incident have died. Of those who are alive, nine of them are in critical condition.

“Six people are still under intensive care in the ICU and three are undergoing treatment in the post-operative ward.”
Till Monday night, at least 27 people, who suffered severe burn injuries in the air conditioner explosion during prayers at Baitus Salah Jame Mosque in Fatullah, Narayanganj, on Friday night, died at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Meanwhile, three separate probe bodies have been formed to investigate the explosion.
