Police have issued instructions to the puja organizing committees to not allow over 25 devotees and visitors at puja mandaps together during Durga Puja.
In a press release on Thursday, police headquarters also requested the puja committees to maintain Covid-19 health guidelines.
There should not be any gathering in puja mandaps after evening, police said in the press release.

Sohel Rana, Assistant Inspector General for media at Police Headquarters, urged all concerned to maintain communal harmony, in the press release.
He also warned against spreading rumours on social media and requested people to inform police if anyone noticed any rumours on social media.
Police also said masks were mandatory for people entering the puja mandaps.
Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community, began on Thursday with the Maha Sashthi Puja at temples across the country.
