People from all walks of like started pouring into Dhaka’s New Market area on Sunday as soon as shops and malls were allowed to reopen, on condition of strictly following Covid-19 guidelines, ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
However, an ongoing ban of public transport had been heavy for both shop owners, workers and consumers.
People were seen travelling in rickshaws, three-wheelers and even in pickup trucks and horse carriages in many parts of the capital since morning.
Photos taken by Dhaka Tribune's Mehedi Hasan and Mahmud Hossain Opu give a glimpse into the scenes around the city.
