Gas supply halted in parts of the city on Sunday, Monday
Many areas under East Rampura of Dhaka city will get no gas supply for several hours on Tuesday and Wednesday due to maintenance work on pipelines.
In a media release on Monday, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited (TGTDCL) said there would be no gas supply in the East Rampura police outpost area, Bou Bazar, Al Ma’mur Mosque lane and adjoining areas from 12 noon to 2pm on Tuesday.
Consumers residing in these areas would have to suffer much on Wednesday as the gas outage will start at 9am and continue until 6pm.
Additionally, domestic, commercial, industrial and CNG users in the neighborhoods of the aforementioned areas will witness lower pressure of gas during the outage.
Meanwhile, gas supply was suspended in Shekhertek, Adabor, Baitul Aman Housing, Mehedi Alif Housing and adjacent areas from 12 noon to 2pm on Sunday and from 9am to 6pm on Monday for reasons of maintenance work.
At the same time, gas pressure in the surrounding areas was lower than usual.
