“Ice is a nerve stimulating drug. It is an expensive drug and its use can cause serious health issues,” the DMP DB chief said.

At first, the arrestees used to bring crystal meth and yaba pills to Chittagong after buying those from Cox’s Bazar, Hafiz said while describing the drug trafficking route.

“Later, the drugs were brought to Cumilla by trucks carrying LPG cylinders to Mongla port, before being brought to Dhaka using cars,” he added.

People from affluent families of Dhaka were the regular customers of these drugs, the police official said.
