Eight units of the firefighters put out the fire within half an hour
The fire service has brought the fire under control on the ground floor of a building on Larmini Street in the capital's Wari area.
Raihan, a media officer with the Fire Service and Civil Defense, confirmed the information on Friday night. He said eight fire fighting units rushed to the spot to douse the fire after learning about it at 8:20pm.
No casualties were reported in the incident, reports Bangla Tribune.
The fire service could not immediately determine the source of the fire and the extent of damage.
