The man was stabbed with a badminton racquet
Police on Monday arrested a woman over the murder of her husband.
The man was reportedly killed when the couple got into a petty fight at their rented house in East Goran, Khilgaon.
The woman was identified as Nazma, 35. Her husband Abdur Rahman, 42, was a poultry supplier in Khilgaon.
According to Rahman's brother-in-law Akkas Ali, Nazma and her husband got into an argument about pending house rent. At one point, she hit Rahman with a badminton racquet and then plunged the broken racquet into his chest.
Rahman was rushed to the nearby Khidmah Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police were informed of the incident through the 999 hotline.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital Morgue for autopsy following legal procedures, confirmed Khilgaon police station Sub Inspector Shafiqul Islam.
The deceased was a resident of Potuakanda village in Komola Kanda upazila of Netrokon district. He was living at the rented house in Khilgaon with his three children as well as his wife.
