Police file 41 cases against the arrestees
Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in an anti-drug drive has arrested 52 individuals for consuming and selling drugs in Dhaka.
According to a DMP statement issued on Friday, police during raids at different areas of the city, from 6am Thursday to 6am Friday, detained 52 who were involved in selling and consuming drugs.

During the anti-drug campaign, police seized 183 grams and 1,020 small packets (puria) of heroin, 50.305 kilograms of cannabis, eight bottles of phensedyl, 42,724 pieces of yaba pills and 17 bottles of local liquor from their possession, it said.
Later, the police filed 41 cases against the arrestees in this connection under the Narcotics Control Act.
