The Dhaka Education Board authorities seized four buses of different colleges being used to carry HSC question papers of English second paper examinations Saturday morning.
The four vehicles are owned by Tejgaon College, Tejgaon Women College, New Model Degree College and Alhaj Makbul Hossain College.
Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Deputy Exam Controller Adwaito Kumar Roy confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
“To prevent question leak, all the educational institutions were instructed [on April 6] to use vehicles with transparent glasses for carrying the question papers. But these institutions did not follow the instruction when they sent the buses to the Dhaka Treasury to collect question papers around 7:30am,” he added.
Three teachers were suspended on April 2 – the first day of the ongoing HSC examination – for using personal smart phones while receiving question papers from the Dhaka Treasury.
The teachers are Dhaka Habibullah Bahar College’s Associate Professor Abdur Rashid and T&T Women College’s lecturers Naima Nasrin and Mahbubur Rahman. Later, their mobile phones were also seized.
