About 80.55% of the candidates have failed the undergraduate admission test of “Cha” unit of Dhaka University (DU), under its Fine Arts Faculty, for the 2018-19 academic session.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md. Akhtaruzzaman announced the results, which marked a meagre 19.45% pass rate, at the central admission office of the university’s Administrative Building around 1pm on Monday, reports UNB.
A total of 269 among 1,383 admission seekers passed the written examination held at September 22, he said.
The MCQ test of this unit was held on the September 17.
The results can be viewed from the university website (www.admission.eis.du.ac.bd) or via SMS on any mobile operator service.
On October 3, results had showed that almost 87% of the DU "Ka" unit first-year admission seekers had failed the entry test.
Earlier, published on September 25, “Kha” unit admission test results also showed that 86% students had failed.
Before that, the “Ga” unit results, published on September 17, showed that a staggering 89.02% of the candidates had failed the exam.
