Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a member of a gang involved in leaking question papers for the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Rajbari on Tuesday.
The arrestee, Md Sumon Khan alias Ahmed Niloy, 18, was picked up from Kalimahar union in Pangsha upazila.
RAB 8 CPC 2 in a press release said: “RAB received a tip-off that a gang was committing fraud in the name of leaking SSC question papers in Pangasha upazila of the district.”
“The elite force subsequently conducted a drive in the area and arrested a member of the alleged gang, along with a mobile phone used in criminal acts.”
“Upon primary interrogation, the suspect has confessed to being involved in supplying question papers and in opening multiple online pages in this regard.”
RAB is preparing to hand over the suspect to Pangsha police station, it added.
