The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is going to hold its fifth convocation at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka's Agargaon area.
The convocation will be held at 3pm on Monday.
President and Chancellor of ULAB Md Abdul Hamid will preside over the occasion. This year, a total of 1,302 graduates from the undergraduate and graduate programs will receive their certificates.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury and Chairman of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) Prof Abdul Mannan will be present as special guests.
Renowned scientist and educationist Dr Md Zafar Iqbal will deliver the convocation speech. Dr Kazi Anis Ahmed, vice-president of ULAB Board of Trustees and Vice-Chancellor of ULAB Dr HM Jahirul Haque will also deliver speeches.
ULAB was established on October 1, 2004, and currently hosts about 5,000 students from both undergraduate and graduate programs. The university held its first convocation on July 2010.
