Cyclone Fani likely to hit Bangladesh Friday
The government has rescheduled the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations—scheduled for Saturday—due to cyclonic storm Fani.
Prof Muhammad Ziaul Haque, the inter-board coordination subcommittee chief, announced the new schedule on Thursday.
“Because of the cyclonic storm, the government has suspended all board exams,” he said.

The Higher Mathematics (First paper) and Islamic Studies (First paper)—that were scheduled to be held on the morning of Saturday—will be held on May 14. Similarly, the Home Economics (First paper) will be held on May 14, from 2pm to 4pm.
The HSC—and its equivalent examinations—began on April 1 and will continue until May 11.
Around 1,138,747 candidates are taking part in the exams under eight general education boards of the country.
