Total of 91,794 examinees selected for participating in final examination
The admission test results of the primary form applicants for the first academic year 2019-20 of Rajshahi University has been published.
The results were annunced in the university's website, in a statement signed by the Director of ICT Center Professor Khademul Islam Mollah, on Tuesday.
A total of 91,794 examinees were selected for participating in the final examination.
The statement said the results of 32,000 examinees were selected for the final application process in A and C units were determined based on their HSC Examinations in 2019.
Students who have at least GPA-4.17 in Humanities, Science and Business for A unit, and students with at least GPA 4.17 in Humanities, 4.5 in Science and 4.25 in Business for C unit were selected as the final applications.
The students who received the same GPA had their results considered based on the grades they obtained in their HSC or equivalent examination, the press release added. In addition, around 27,794 students were finalized for B unit for the final application.
The release also said the selected candidates must apply by 5pm on September 23. If the quota of 32,000 students for A and C units is not fulfilled then a new list will be published in the second phase.
Students on the second list will have to apply from 12pm September 24 till 5 pm on September 25. However, if the quota for students is not filled by then, a third list will be published, and students will have to apply from 12pm on September 28 till September 30 5pm.
Around Tk1,320 will be needed for the final application in every unit.
The admission exam will be held on October 20, 21, and 22. The submission of primary application forms started from September 3, and continued till September 12, while the final forms can be submitted from September 17 to 30.
Faculties of Humanities, Social Science and Law, and Institute of Education and Research will remain under “A” unit, while Business Studies Faculty and Institute of Business Administration under “B” unit and Faculties of Science, Life and Earth Science and Agriculture under “C” unit.
A total of 137,000 students have applied for the admission exam. Among them, 54,076 applied for A unit, 27,794 for B unit, and 56,033 for C unit. A total of 96,000 students will be allowed to appear for the final application, the release added.
