PM: Children's fear of exam removed through PEC-JSC exams

Sheikh Hasina formally opens free textbook distribution program by handing over books of primary and secondary levels to students

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations have removed the children's exam phobia.

The prime minister said this while formally inaugurating the free textbook distribution program and receiving the results of this year's PEC, Ebtedayee, JSC, Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) and equivalent examinations at Ganabhaban in Dhaka Tuesday morning.

Sheikh Hasina said the government is working relentlessly to build a poverty- and discrimination-free Bangladesh ensuring education for all.

The children have to be moulded into the good citizens of the country through proper education and training so that no discrimination prevails in the society, the prime minister added.

In the beginning of the program, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain handed over the PEC and its equivalent Ebtedayee exam results while Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over the JSC and JDC exam results to the premier.

Later, the chairmen of 10 education boards handed over the results of their respective board to her.
