Students will not have to go to schools, they will be able to know the results through SMS
The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on Sunday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the results through a videoconference from Ganobhaban at 10am on the day, said Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the Education Ministry, reports UNB.
He also said that Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will reveal the detail information about the results at 12pm through a Facebook live programme.
Relevant documents related to the results will be sent to the media outlets and reporters through e-mails and Facebook messenger while video footage will be sent for electronic media through Bangladesh Television (BTV), said an Education Ministry press release.
It requested the journalists not to go to the briefing spot considering the risk of Covid-19 infection.
According to the Inter Education Board Coordination Subcommittee, students do not have to go to schools to know the results. They will be able to know the results through SMS from any telecom operator, reports BSS.
To get the results through SMS via mobile phone, the students will have to type SSC/Dakhil<space>board name (first three letter)<space>Exam Roll<Space>Year(2020) and send to 16222.
The students will also be able to know their results from the websites of their respective education boards.
Earlier on May 21, Mahbubur Rahman, secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Divison, had said that the results would be published on May 31.
A total of 2,047,779 students – 1,024,363 boys and 1,023,416 girls – participated in this year SSC and equivalent examinations at 3,512 centres from 28,884 educational institutions.
Of them, a total of 1,635,240 students took part in the SSC examinations under nine general education boards, and 2,81,254 in Dakhil exam under Madrasa Education Board, while 1,31,285 appeared in vocational exams under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.
