The university is set to reopen its dorms in October
The University of Dhaka has decided to cancel its autumn and winter vacations for the 2021-2022 academic calendar in order to tide over session jams.
The Public Relations office of DU issued a press release in this regard on Thursday.
However, the DU administration has not called off holidays related to Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Martyred Intellectuals Day, Victory Day and Christmas.
The university is scheduled to reopen its dormitories in early October following a lengthy year-and-a-half pandemic-induced closure.
In the first phase of the reopening, only honours final-year and master’s students will be allowed to stay in the dorms in order to sit for in-person examinations.
