The date will be finalized soon, says the Dhaka board examination controller
The probable date to start this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent exam is by November 15 while the Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSC) and its equivalent exam are likely to start at the beginning of December.
Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller Prof SM Amirul Islam confirmed the matter on Sunday.
He said the date would be finalized soon.

However, DSHE Director General (DG) Prof Syed Md Golam Faruk said he did not know anything abouth the proposed exam date. “We did not propose any exam date till now.”
Earlier, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni also said the SSC and HSC examinations will be held in November and December respectively.
She said that the exams will be held on the revised syllabus students have already been provided with.
“If the students follow the books and complete the assignments, they should be prepared,” she said, adding that the ministry is taking all routine preparations to hold the exams safely amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The SSC and HSC examinees of 2020-2021 have started to attend in-person class regularly from September 12, following a 543 day hiatus due to Covid-19.
SSC exams were usually held in February and the HSC in April every year before the coronavirus pandemic.
Last year, the SSC tests were completed, but the HSC exams were postponed. The HSC results were published by averaging the grades in JSC and SSC.
