A total of 2,878 graduates will be conferred degrees at the program
The 20th convocation ceremony of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) will be held at 11am on Sunday.
The program will be broadcast on a virtual platform live from AIUB auditorium at the university’s permanent campus in Kuril, Dhaka, according to a press release issued by the university on Saturday.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni is expected to be present as chief guest while Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel and UGC Chairman Kazi Shahidullah are expected to be present as special guests.
The British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson will attend the program as the convocation speaker.

Dr Hasanul A Hasan, chairman of AIUB Board of Trustees and Vice-Chancellor Dr Carmen Z Lamagna will also deliver speeches on this occasion.
A total of 2,878 graduates of Academic Year 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 who have completed all the academic requirements in various disciplines of the Bachelor and Master’s degree programs will be conferred degrees at the convocation.
Among others, the members of the Trustee Board, treasurer, members of the Syndicate and Academic Council, deans and faculties of different departments and other members of the university along with a large number of local and foreign dignitaries, vice-chancellors, students and guardians will be present at the ceremony.
