The former military dictator said JaPa would ask how many seats they would get in the next parliamentary election
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Saturday said his party will sit in dialogue with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also Awami League President on November 5 with no specific demand on the agenda.
"We will just ask the Prime Minister for the number of seats that Jatiya Party would be provided in the general election?"
The former president said so when addressing a public rally at the Guthail High School and College grounds in the Islampur upazila of the Jamalpur district, reports UNB.
“Jatiya Oikya Front placed several demands before the Prime Minister, but their efforts have gone in vain as the government did not agree to their demands,” Jatiya Party chairman said.
Jatiya Party will not place any condition before the government, he said.
"We hope we will come to power again if we get seats, as per our expectations," he further said.
JP Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin and Presidium member MA Sattar were, among others, present at the program held with Islampur Jatiya Party president Mostafa Al Mahmud in the chair.
