There will be no cut-off age to join government jobs except for police and defence forces, Jatiya Oikya Front has said in its election manifesto.
The alliance’s leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna, also convener of Nagorik Oikya, vowed this while reading out the opposition platform’s election manifesto, at an event at a Dhaka hotel, on Monday.
If voted to power, the alliance will introduce an allowance for unemployed youths above the age of 30.
There will be no quota except for those from underprivileged communities and people with disabilities.

Public exams like the Primary Education Certificate and Junior School Certificate for fifth and eighth graders, respectively, will be canceled.
A centralized admission test for all public universities will be introduced and student union elections will be held in all academic institutions.
Recruitment will take place for all vacant government jobs within three years of assuming power.
Madrasa students will be provided with technical training and sent abroad. A commission will be formed to reform the education system focusing employment.
The 11th general election is scheduled to be held on December 30.
