As-it-happened: BNP manifesto for 11th general election

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will unveil their election manifestos for the December 30 elections at Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday. The election will be held on December 30.

12:19pm- Slum dwellers and hawkers be rehabilitated and not be evicted from urban areas.

12:15pm- BNP to maintain special relation with Muslim nations and neighboring countries.

12:12PM- A separate education channel.  

12:01PM- Better remuneration will be given to madrasa teachers.

11:58AM- 200,000 government jobs will be given in the first year of office. 

11:55AM- 10 million new jobs will be generated in the five years.

11:54AM- All cases filed against students over the safe road protest will be withdrawn.

11: 53AM- 5% of GDP will be spent on education sector.

11:51AM – Sports Academy-- with modern technologies-- will be set up in every district.  

11:46AM – Allowance will be given to unemployed youths, BNP pledges in its manifesto.

11:45AM – An upper house will be introduced in Parliament.

11:44AM – BNP to ensure a balance between the power of president and prime minister.

11:39AM – BNP to repeal Digital Security Act and Special Powers Act 1974.  

11:37AM – Fakhrul says: “BNP will; practice democracy if voted to power.”
