All the 50 union parishads will have a police mobile team for security
Of the 203 polling centres in Rangamati, 136 centres have been marked as "important" for the upcoming general election.
Rangamati constituency, the 299th seat of the parliament, consists of two municipalities and 10 upazilas with 50 unions.

The other 67 voting centres of the constituency have been marked as "normal".
According to the Rangamati district police office, strict security measures have been taken by the police for the upcoming parliamentary polls.
The 136 voting centres marked as "important" will have 12 Ansar and VDP members along with three policemen each to ensure security, while all the 50 union parishads will have a police mobile team ready to respond to any situation.
Rangamati District Superintendent of Police Alamgir Kabir said:"Along with regular law enforcement agencies, army, RAB and BGB will act together as a striking force on election day, which is scheduled for December 30."
