Two people including a child were injured as miscreants blasted four crude bombs in separate places of the Rohanpur area in Gomostapur upazila,Chapainawabganj, on Friday night.
The bombs went off around 8pm in front of the Awami League's election campaign office and at the College Intersection area.
The injured persons are: Rohanpur Municipal Awami League Ward 3 Vice President Adar Ali and a tea boy of Chief Election Officer Sabbir Rahman Rony.
They were released soon after undergoing treatment at Rohanpur upazila health complex.
Witnesses said two miscreants riding on a motorcycle came in front of the office of AL candidate Ziaur Rahman around 8pm and hurled two crude bombs, leaving theminjured.
Additionally, miscreants blasted two crude bombs at the College Intersection area of the upazila that night in a similar manner.
On information, Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Raihan, Additional Superintendent Jahidur Rahman of Gomostapur Circle Police and the officer-in-charge of Gomostapur police station visited the spot.
Confirming the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Mahbub Alam Khan said proper legal action will be taken after conducting an investigation intothe matter.
