BNP candidate Moyeen Khan’s campaign attacked in Narsingdi

BNP candidate Moyeen Khan, along with his supporters, has come under attack during an election campaign in Narsingdi’s Parulia area. 

A group of police, led by Palash police station Officer-in-Charge Mokbul Hossain, pursued Moyeen Khan’s supporters, around 12 noon, on Monday.

He was again attacked on his way to the assistant returning officer’s office to place the complaint. 

A group of people assaulted his personal secretary Bahauddin Milton.     

Milton was rushed to Palash upazila health complex and later shifted to Dhaka for better treatment. 

 “Several local Chhatra League and Jubo League activists attacked us on our way to the assistant returning officer’s office,” Milton said. 

However, OC Mokbul said the BNP candidate for Narsingdi 2 was campaigning in the area, blocking traffic. 

“We asked them to leave the road, but did not harass them,” he said.

Mokbul said he heard that Moyeen Khan’s personal secretary was injured in an attack.
