The 11th general election is set to be held next Sunday
Some 614 administration cadre officials have been appointed as executive magistrates to check the violation of the electoral code of conduct, other crimes, and maintain law and order during the 11th general election.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Monday, reports UNB.
The executive magistrates were appointed as per Section 10 (5) of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act 2009.
They have been given the power to conduct mobile courts from December 28 till December 31.
The magistrates will have to report to the district magistrates or divisional commissioners concerned within December 27, Thursday.
The election is set to be held across the country next Sunday.
